little status update
For those who have heard of girl math, I never really understood this until I connected the dots on this blanket yesterday.
I like to put the length of my blankets on my needles instead of the width for some reason that has always made making blankets as easy as it makes it annoying. In doing so, I had knitted about my hand’s length and wanted to know how much more I had to go. I think the normal response would be to find a tape measure and measure both the width I need and then the width of my blanket and figure it out that way. That would make sense, right? Is that what I did? Absolutely not!
Instead, I went to his little bed and measured how many of my hand lengths it took to get across it. I learned it takes about six hands. So, anything over six of my hand lengths is what his little blanket needs to be. (Yes, I do realize this is not such a little blanket)
Not sure if this qualifies as girl math…. But it definitely worked, so you have my most humble thank you!
With lots of love
